The Mexican painter beatrizpadilla <\/em>has devoted her life to the environment from very original perspectives, founding and leading projects such as the design and construction of Mexico\u2019s first transcontinental solar racecar, Mexico\u2019s and Guatemala\u2019s intercollegiate electric vehicle racing championships,<\/em> Mexico\u2019s Advanced Battery Consortium, the creation of a think-tank for the conservation of Mexico\u2019s Water Forest <\/em>and the production of comic books for wilderness conservation.<\/p>\n

In 2005 she began her project Wilderness Conservation Painting Expeditions <\/em>(www.beatrizpadilla.org). To date, throughout 31 expeditions, she has painted in situ <\/em>endangered and protected wild areas in Africa, Europe, the Caribbean and the American Continent. By means of this project she generates funds for the conservation of two wild areas towards which she has a long-term commitment: central Mexico\u2019s Water Forest<\/em> and the Maya jungle that lies between Mexico and Guatemala.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
