A lover of Deep Ecology, Emilio, a Mexican social activist, has devoted his entire life to the environment. He is a permaculturalist with 18 years experience in the fields of bioconstruction techniques, permaculture, eco-techniques and urban agriculture. As a member of the NGO Organi-K, A.C.<\/em> during eight years, he coordinated the M\u00e9xico org\u00e1nico<\/em> project and facilitated several courses and workshops on sustainable human settlements, permaculture and appropriate technologies. He co-founded the Azoteas verdes<\/em> (Green Roofs<\/em>) project and, from its inception, he was a member of the Manos a la tierra<\/em> (Hands to the Earth<\/em>) initiative.<\/p>\n

Passionate about information technologies, graphic design and watercolour illustration, he co-founded Tinta Vital to create and promote comic books as a tool for bolstering wilderness conservation.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
